2601 Chartres Street in the Marigny, a few blocks from Frenchmen Street. Home of the gallery’s hand-blown glass jellyfish with glowing neon tentacles, which you’ll be dancing under.
Devery and Andrew met the old-fashioned way—on the apps. They met for coffee by Dolores Park, then Andrew walked her around the Mission until her feet hurt. The rest is history.
In February 2022, the couple took a road trip from San Francisco to Salt Lake City, stopping in Elko, Idaho Falls, and Jackson Hole along the way. They said “I love you” at a delightful, yet creepy B&B in SLC.
On February 15, 2026, Devery made a delicious dinner. When Andrew got up to clear plates, he dropped to one knee and said, “So you wanna?” She said yes.
It’s a busy weekend in NOLA, so start booking your rooms. There are plenty of cute B&Bs in the Marigny neighborhood, where we will be staying.
A precious old schoolhouse and church with rooms of all sizes. There’s a wedding happening there, so don’t delay.
Visit the hotelThe closest airport is Louis Armstrong New Orleans International (MSY), about a 25-minute drive from the city center. We recommend a taxi from the airport: New Orleans cabs charge a fixed rate from MSY and are usually easier than rideshares. Depending on where you're staying there may be a small extra charge, but it shouldn't be much more than the fixed fare.
Some of our favorite ways to spend the time around the wedding. Make a long weekend of it.
Expect warm days in the mid-70s °F and cool evenings around 60 °F, but New Orleans weather can be fickle. Check the 10-day forecast as the wedding gets close, and again right before you travel. It's peak crawfish season, so look for boiled crawfish by the pound at neighborhood spots. The Tennessee Williams & New Orleans Literary Festival usually lands in the last week of March in the French Quarter.

Black tie formal, and neon accents are welcome: a glowing tie, bright heels, light-up jewelry, anything that shines. Late March is usually warm during the day and cool at night, so bring a light layer. The weather can be fickle, so check the 10-day forecast in the lead-up and again before you pack.
The ceremony is adults-only. Kids are welcome at the other events. For plus-ones, your invitation will list everyone included.
From the airport, take a taxi. They charge a fixed rate from MSY and are usually easier than rideshares. Around town, taxis and rideshares are the easiest way to get to Venusian Art Gallery. Shuttle and parking details TBD.
Yes. Cash is king in New Orleans. Many bars, music clubs, cabs, and street vendors prefer it, and bank ATMs can be hard to find. Plan accordingly and bring small bills for tips and covers.
Go-cups are a thing here. You can drink in the streets and take your drink to go when you leave a bar. Just ask for a go-cup. Drinks outside have to be in plastic, not glass.
A New Orleans tradition: a brass band leads a parade and everyone follows behind, dancing and waving handkerchiefs. We'll have one at the wedding, so when the band starts up, grab a handkerchief and join in.
